Term 6 Homework

1) Please read with your child daily or encourage them to read independently for pleasure. 

2) Spelling Shed / Spelling words - please encourage your child to practice the weekly words either using the website/app or using any suitable method you prefer.

3) Times tables / TimesTable Rockstars - all Y4 children need to learn their tables up to 12 x 12.

4)  There is no homework project this term.

Week 1 (word with 'c' before 'i' and 'e') circle, century, centaur, circus, princess, voice, medicine, celebrate, celery, pencil

Week 2 (words containing 'sol' and 'real') solve, insoluble, real, reality, dissolve, solution, realistic, unreal, realisation, soluble

Week 3 (words containing 'phon' and 'sign') signal, telephone, assign, microphone, homophone, sign, phonics, signature, megaphone, design

Week 4 (words with the prefixes 'super', 'anti' and 'auto') supermarket, superhero, superstar, superhuman, antiseptic, anticlockwise, antisocial, autobiography, autograph, automatic

Week 5 (words with the prefix 'bi' meaning 'two') bicycle, biplane, biped, bicentennial, biannual, bilingual, biscuit, biceps, binoculars, bisect

Week 6 (challenge words)  guide, possess, forwards, accident, eighth, occasion, Wednesday, actually, busy, forward

Week 7 (words that are plurals with possessive aposthrophes) girls’, boys’, babies’, children’s, men’s, mice’s, ladies’, cats’, women’s, geese's
