First Lego Challenge

It was a pleasure to take 10 Y6 children to Filton to take part in Lego League. We spent weeks programming our Lego Spike robot to engage in a range of manoeuvres on the challenge mat, which involved us interacting with a range of Lego structures. When we weren't programming, we were working on our innovation project, which we shared with the judges in a presentation. We were delighted to come away with a trophy for All Stars. This meant we did well in all areas: building our Spike robot, programming and presenting our project.
A massive thanks to Babcock for buying our Spike, the PTA for paying for our entry, Ian Bush for giving up so much time to support our programming and the parents that drove the contestants out to Filton for the competition.
You did us proud, Ashton Gaters!
